The In Memoriam:
Doris Hausmann was the mother of the director (Leander) and herself an important costume designer. She died just before the premiere of THE ROBBERS.
This is from an article of two days ago recording both the play's (her son's) success and her passing.
"Born in Berlin; received her training as a costume designer at the local textile and fashion school. She started as an assistant at Berlin's Theater am Schiffbauerdamm, at the Volksbühne in East Berlin and at the Berlin State Opera; then independent costume designer, from 1961 to 1989 at the television of the GDR, mainly for historical film materials, ballet and opera. After the turn she was a guest in Weimar and Frankfurt, the Munich Residenz Theater, on Berlin's Schiller Theater and at the Vienna Burgtheater. Since 1995/96, it is fixed guest on Schauspielhaus Bochum. At the Bavarian State Opera, she designed the costumes for Die Fledermaus."
